And again as expected making business with hertz is pure pleasure everything was perfect….hertz the best rental company…

Unbelievable bad service. As someone said “Hertz is no longer a top rental car company” . I rented a car 20 hrs ago.
The car was not cleaned inside and used by smoker before me. (Ashes on the carpet) . Impossible to contact the company by phone. An answering machine informed that they were overloaded and suggested to send all documents by mail!?? I sent a mail and no answer 16 hrs later.
Extremely frustrating and not acceptable.
I will contact another rental company next time.

On August 6th I scheduled a car rental with Hertz for the 16th of September. I drove half an hour to pick up my car rental. When I got there, I was told they didn’t have my rental. When I asked for another, I was told they had nothing available. When I asked why they didn’t contact me, so I didn’t drive all this way, they just said they are now finding out they don’t have any vehicles. ANY VEHICLES??? What kind of response is that? The individual behind the counter gave no sympathy at all. When I called Hertz, they apologized for the inconvenience but offered very little assistance to resolve the issue. I had to come up with all the ideas. One idea was to drive all the way to the airport for a rental. I asked for a discounted rate for the inconvenience but was told its going to cost more. I canceled and wont ever use Hertz again.

rented a car and they randomly charged an extra GBP 198 at the end with no explanation. i have written weekly for 6 weeks and no one responds.

Hertz gave me double hurts
I rented a car at Paris Charles De Gaulle airport, and unfortunately, my flight was an hour earlier, so they asked me to wait for an hour in a crapy area until I showed up in their system. And when my turn arrived, it took me an hour to get the car. The line was so long... So that was a good start. Unfortunately, when I dropped off the car, it took me an hour to return it because they forgot to tell us that the parking lot and the office were less than half a mile apart. So I was late an hour, and not only could they not process invoicing because their system was closed on Sunday, but they charged me for one more day because I was late. Dealing with Hertz was a real pain in the neck...

LONG STORY SHORT IM FROM SAN ANTONIO I LEFT MY PHONE IN ONE OF THEIR RENTAL VEICHLES I KNOW IT WAS MY FAULT BUT STILL IF YOUR GOING TO PROVIDE SHIPPING SERVICE AT MY EXPENSE $50 -80 DOLLARS FOR 5 DAY SHIPPING BUT TAKE 30 DAYS FOR ME TO FINALLY GET MY PHONE AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO GET AHOLD OF THEM NOBODY ANSEWERS THE PHONE AND WHEN THEY DO IT IS THE COMPLETE RUN AROUND. VERY VERY HORIBLE AND SHADY SERVICE .

The vehicle was a Subaru Forester which I loved!
Great for getting through the mountain passes without any downshifting at all!
